After making a batch of candied kumquats, save remaining syrup to make a nice summer beverage.
Candied Kumquat Cocktail
In a cocktail glass mix:
1 tablespoon kumquat syrup
1 shot vodka or gin (optional)
1-2 cups seltzer
Ice cubes
Garnish with candied kumquats on ice, strung through a straw, skewer or stirrer. Cheers!
